All photos taken May 4, 2004, in the Parker Conservation Area upstream of Jolly Acres Road.

Upper Deer Creek 5/4/2004

Interesting little triple drop, perhaps half a mile upstream of the bridge. Taken from a huge boulder/rock outcrop that's visible in the background of the next photo. To give you an idea of scale, the bottom chute is about 3-4 feet wide. (Remember that rock sitting in its outflow when running it!)

Same triple drop, but viewed from a flat rock on river left between the first and second little ledges. The location for the first photo is visible at center top. Sure looks a lot like the Upper Gunpowder above Falls Road.

Upper Deer Creek 5/4/2004

A couple hundred yards upstream of previous section. This appears to more typical of the stream: simple little rapids, lots of boulders, fairly shallow/narrow.

Nearly the same spot as previous photo, looking upstream this time. Note the handy single-span arch "bridge".
